Writer's Block: Reflections

Well, 2009 have been a very eventful year for me, and almost everything has to do with Harry Potter. During this year I discovered fanfiction and Wizard Rock and I have been completely hooked on those things and Harry Potter ever since.
So this year has pretty much been HP-centered with fanfic-reading, fanfic-writing, listening to Wrock, listening to the audio books, reading the books, standing on Leicester Square for 16 hours because of the Half-Blood Prince premiere, being stuck at two different airports for a day hoping to get to Edinburgh to meet wizards and listen to WRock and last but not least - getting to know a bunch of really awesome people that are just as obsessed and crazy as I am! I love you guys! :D
Workwise, this year could have been a lot better, but I'm still hopint that things will work out there as well. If not, do anyone have a suggestion for a career change for me? Preferably a boring 8-4 job where I don't have to deal with more people than necessary...lol

I'm cheating on my fandom...
OK, I hate to admit it, but I've been cheating on my fandom. I have for a long time been proud to say that I'm fandom monogamous, but in October I wrote my first non-Harry Potter fic...
The reason:
One of my best RL friendslindeluren (I just convinced her to get an LJ account) is the only one that knows about me writing fan fiction. The only reason I told her was because she's writing too ;) We accidentally found this out in June and have been squeeing about fan fiction ever since.
The thing is, however, that while I'm obsessing over Snape and Lupin and the other HP characters, she's obsessing over Rammstein, and especially Till Lindemann :D She's the master of Till/OFC smut...lol! I think I have now read more Till-smut than I have read Lupin-smut, and I'm not totally convinced that I like the idea of that...HAHA :D (I think Severus still wins, though...)
She's an awesome cheerleader, and I don't think I would have been able to write my Snupin Santa if it wasn't for her. The Snupin Santa was a tough challenge for me to start writing, because I was challenged to write something I really didn't like, and I didn't want to bothervalkyriekat too much about it, because I was sure it was going to destoy her...lol. But this girl's mind is even more twisted than mine and I love her for that! :D
So, when her birthday was coming up I had the idea to write her a fic as a present. So I did. I managed to sit down one night and write a silly little fic for her which I printed out and stuck in her mailbox marked: "Open when alone"
So if you want to read my silly litte story when Till met my friend somewhere, be my guest. This have not been beta read or anything, so you have been warned ;D And my friend's name is not really Lydia. It's only in this fic :D

Last night when I drove home it was dark and it was raining. A really creepy night actually.
Suddenly one single cloud was lit up by the moonlight and it was the freakin' Dark Mark floating in the sky near my house!!!
Of course my phone was dead so I couldn't call any one or take a picture and then it disappeared behind a tree and I never saw it again...
Creepy!
The Death Eaters have now come to Norway...

valkyriekat is one totally awesome and amazing person that I've gotten to know in here. I envy her creativity and ability to "know" the characters, and hopefully I can someday become just a fraction of the writer she is! And the fact that she didn't run far far away from me when she found out about my fascination for slash, and especially Snupin, says a lot ;)
And for my birthday this year, she wrote me this wonderful fic. Thank you soooooo much for that, hun! I really appreciate it!
