I love this fandom and the people in it! Just thought I let you guys know that :D

I don't have any friends at home that share my obsession with HP and writing fanfic (at least none that I'm aware of, since I don't tell them about it...lol) But this last year I have made some really awesome friends here on Livejournal and on fanfiction.net!

[personal profile] valkyriekat is one totally awesome and amazing person that I've gotten to know in here. I envy her creativity and ability to "know" the characters, and hopefully I can someday become just a fraction of the writer she is! And the fact that she didn't run far far away from me when she found out about my fascination for slash, and especially Snupin, says a lot ;)

And for my birthday this year, she wrote me this wonderful fic. Thank you soooooo much for that, hun! I really appreciate it!

Enjoy people!

Now you're making me hope my skin doesn't redden to reveal the fact that I actually have anything but Slytherin blue-blood in these veins...he he you have Hufflemoments...even I...very, very occasionally...have them. Red red red too many compliments ^^ ;)

lol :D
I just thought that I'd let people (and you) know how I appreciate your friendship and you writing a fic for me :D You really DO inspire me, and scare me at the same time ;) Because I know that I will never be able to become as good as you when it comes to writing (hm... maybe the competetive side appears after all...lol...)

I have writers far better than I am inspiring me too. And what the heck, we all have different styles, right, to suit our personalities, and I wish I could play one instrument as well as you seem to play about seven... :D There! I had my Hufflepuff moment! Get over it! :D :D :D

lol, it wasn't my goal to make you have a Hufflepuff moment, but I take it as a bonus :)

Now, if I could only tear myself away from reading from these weird LJ-communities and actually write something... lol

I started two fics yesterday, though :D But one of them seems to turn out a bit longer than a one-shot...

I am working on my [livejournal.com profile] hp_toujours (the Black family, obviously) fic and I'm featuring Regulus Sirius AND Bellatrix all together....not a threesome thanks, please. As for farting around the different communities it is worthwhile, because you'll find one you love. I get a kick out of [livejournal.com profile] prof_snape but unfortunately no contests (whines pathetically like a bitchslapped Draco) "waaaaaa...." Keep writing until you can't stop writing and then curse me for "hooking" you... ;) ^-^

yes, but the farting around (love that btw) has a tendency to bring me to weird slash communities, and I end up cheating on Snupin... I don't like that!!! lol

I do want to check out more of the drabble communities and just start writing no matter how much I suck at this point. I probably will get better eventually, I hope...

In all honesty, you aren't a poor writer. You have a poor image of your abilities. Parts of your stories are excellent, top form and all that, but you limit yourself by thinking that you aren't good when you are. If you accept the fact that you can be very creative right away, you will save yourself from not having creative depth in your stories. As Morphius says in the Matrix: "Don't think you can. Know you can."

It's the language barrier and lack of vocabulary that stops me mostly. I read so many fics and look at all the different ways of writing things, and I get intimidated... I have a very simple writing style in Norwegian as well, so I have to base my stories more on the plots than on the descriptions of people, places, feelings etc... I really noticed that in my PWP stories, they all ended excactly the same way, and I used the same sentences for the same situation in every fic. I didn't even realized it until I finished the third one...lol

But I do like my own stories when I finally manage to write one, I always have. Back in school, I always chose to write fictional stories whenever possible, and the preasure there always made me produce something (I had to if I didn't want to fail...)

My teachers were not in unison in their feedback. Some liked my stories a lot, others didn't, and unfortunately the ones that didn't are the ones that stuck in my head for several years... It's hard to shake of, but I'm getting there...

Glad that you have some pride...don't let language get in the way of your literary ambitions...re language...we could Skype - I only do audio, but common use practise can be useful... ? ;)
