2011

Looking back, did you write more fics than you thought you would this year, less than you thought, or about what you predicted?
Less. At times I've been very productive, but I've also had long breaks, which then made it harder to get back into writing. It seems I can't write without deadlines and at the same time, muse tends to leave me when I need her the most. (Especially before the original Snupin BLU deadline.)

Where did you publish/archive your stories?
I'm a lazy bitch and a major procrastinator, but I *try* to eventually post them here on my LJ and some on my fanfiction.net account. All of my finished fics are posted in communities, though. Most of them on [livejournal.com profile] lupin_snape or wherever the challenge/fest took place.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2011?
I'm actually surprised that I *didn't* write more odd pairings this year. (41 stories/drabbles, 32 were Remus/Severus...) I have a couple of random crossover drabbles because of the adventdrabble challenge, but I can't say they really surprised me. As for fandoms, I only write HP with the occasionally crossover drabble, so Remus Lupin/The Doctor is perhaps the most surprising seeing as I wasn't into Doctor Who in January.

What’s your favourite story this year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you the happiest.
I think it must be my [livejournal.com profile] ronbigbang story "No One Else Matters" (Ron/Remus).

Okay, NOW your most popular story.
That's a tough one. I really don't know. You tell me...

Story most underappreciated by the universe?
I think it must be No One Else Matters. Because of the pairing (Ron/Remus) I don't think it will get much love. I'm happy with the comments I got though. They were all lovely. I haven't posted this story outside [livejournal.com profile] ronbigbang, that might help :P

Story that could have been better?
All of them!

Sexiest story?
It must be The Lusty Month of Chocolate since it's almost the only smutty thing I've written this year. Or maybe my snupin_santa fic? (still unrevealed)

Most fun story?
It's hard to pick one, since most of my work this year have been humorous drabbles... Maybe "A Very Ood Day"? (Remus/The Doctor) I know I had a fun time writing that one!

Story with single sweetest moment?
Either the Snupin Mini-BLU story "Up in the Clouds" or the Ron Big Bang story "No One Else Matters".

The story that made you cry?
Look below. It wasn't the story itself as much as it was writing it that made me cry...

Hardest story to write?
The Snupin BLU story, "Sleepless in Scarborough"! Despite the lovely art I got, muse decided to go on vacation in the middle of this, which turned into a very depressive and desperate period, which then led to my finally telling my husband I was writing fanfic...

Easiest story to write?
Most of the drabbles has been quite easy when I first got an idea... of the longer stories I think it must be The Lusty Month of Chocolate, probably because I didn't think while writing this. I just cared about posting something every day :D

Most overdue story?
I got an idea for a fic in August 2009, but I still haven't started writing it yet...

Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
In fanfiction? Not really... My biggest risk was perhaps going for NaNoWriMo (and winning!)
Oh wait! The disaster that was my snupin_ldws. I tried for something different and completely failed! LOL I don't think I would have lasted long in that competition anyway, but it would have been nice not being voted off first :P Don't think I will ever sign up again, though.

Do you have any fanfic goals for the New Year?
And also write more outside fests. Hell, write *anything*outside a fest/challenge :P And to write something more than drabbles and ficlets!

OOOH, I don't think I've read your [livejournal.com profile] ronbigbang submission! I'm going to read it RIGHT NOW.

(If I have already read it, and commented, please don't be offended, dear... my memory is a sieve these days!)

I guess with the ldws we have to accept it -someone has to go first, but it totally sucks when it's you! *hugs*

yay, I managed to get someone to read it by complaining about it :D LOL (don't worry about being unsure if you'd read it or not, I'm like that too!)

When I saw how the ldws turned out, I was actually glad to go out early :P (of course a couple more weeks wouldn't hurt though...lol)

Glad you're around more that I knew. Are you still involved in fandom: Pottermore? and how did your husband take your fanficcing?

yeah, this journal has been very neglected this year, as well as Pottermore. Have they done anything interesting on that site the last few months? It pretty much sucked last time I was there.

My husband took the fanficcing news very well. Almost too well... he didn't really care :P I begged him not to sneak around to find my stories though, and he respected that. I don't think he would appreciate reading slash XD

I've not been on Pottermore in the last month. It's as lacking in coherence and buggy as ever, and the whole points system needs to be revamped.
