Today's challenge:
Characters: Severus Snape/Ron Weasley
Prompt: homework
Words: training, tea, vibrating
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters or names you can recognize. I'm just having fun and I'm not making any money from it!
Marking homework
Snape sighed as he looked at the pile of parchments he was about to mark. He loved punishing the little brats with homework, but that also meant more work for him. He was tempted to just give everyone the same grade as they usually got in Potions, but knew that things did not work that way.
He picked up the first parchment and moaned loudly. Ron Weasley? The boy whose potions skills were so poor Snape was surprised he even managed to stir the sugar in his morning tea. He hoped, however, that the boy was a bit better at Defence Against the Dark Arts.
It turned out that the Weasley boy wasn't half bad at this subject. Clearly the training with the Potter-brat last year had paid off. Snape checked for the usual signs of Granger's work, but considering the amount of misspelled words, Weasley must have actually done his home work by himself this time.
The more Snape read, the more he saw that Weasley really wasn't as stupid as he had thought he was. Severus Snape got a terrible feeling in his gut. He really did not want to do this.
His hand was vibrating like crazy as he put the quill to the parchment. He stopped, closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
Still shaking, he reluctantly wrote an “O” on the top of the parchment. He had never thought he would see the day this would happen, but hoped that this would shut Weasley up for a little while.
He reached for the next parchment.
Harry Potter?
“I'm not doing that again!” he told himself and wrote a “P” on top of the assignment without even reading it.
