It's the language barrier and lack of vocabulary that stops me mostly. I read so many fics and look at all the different ways of writing things, and I get intimidated... I have a very simple writing style in Norwegian as well, so I have to base my stories more on the plots than on the descriptions of people, places, feelings etc... I really noticed that in my PWP stories, they all ended excactly the same way, and I used the same sentences for the same situation in every fic. I didn't even realized it until I finished the third one...lol
But I do like my own stories when I finally manage to write one, I always have. Back in school, I always chose to write fictional stories whenever possible, and the preasure there always made me produce something (I had to if I didn't want to fail...)
My teachers were not in unison in their feedback. Some liked my stories a lot, others didn't, and unfortunately the ones that didn't are the ones that stuck in my head for several years... It's hard to shake of, but I'm getting there...
